Thanks to everyone who contributed to Dick Bergrins Speedway Illustrated article. Desert Thunder Raceway is the cover and includes 9 pages of pictures of a variety of different drivers and some good stories.
I think it will be a great thing for people to read all over the U.S. and hopefully come race with us next year. I feel this is a great time for us here at the track with this type of exposure. Thanks to all of you for being a part of it so far.
The article missed who I bought the track from it was Chuck and Lynda Buchanan not the County. IT also named Chuck in one of the pictures that was actually Dusty Safely. Over all they did a good job with it.
These are a few of the things that our exposure through IMCA nationally has and will help in the future.. We are now working on a little more detailed article for Dirt Modified Magazine that should be out in a few months.
I dont say it to often but I really appreciate all of you who have hung in there with us over the years.

Great story! You have inspired me to follow the next step in my dream of becoming a track owner/operator as well. I think the exposure that Speedway Illustrated is giving non-traditional racers like us (July 08 for me) has really made an impact on the racing community. It lets people know, able-bodied or not, that with hard work, dedication, and help from those in their lives who care that ANYTHING is possible. Since returning to driving as a paraplegic in late 07 I have meet and heard of several other drivers with similar situations as what we have and they have overcome them also. I would like to contact you in the future about your experience as a track owner to help me in realizing my dream of becoming an owner.
